THE HOPE ARMY – GIANTS ASSEMBLY (SUNDAY 10TH MAY, 2020)
#Today’s Message: Unveiling The Mystery of Self-Discovery (Part Two).
#Reading: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” -Proverbs 22:29.
EXCERPTS FROM PREVIOUS ASSEMBLY (03.05.2020):
*Purpose is the underlying mystery behind creation.
*Mark Twain was quoted as saying that, “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.”
*Until purpose is discovered, fulfilment is not in view.
*Inside you lies everything you need to fulfill your destiny in life.
*We all have opportunities starring at us everyday. The difference is preparation.
*Because success is only unveiled when preparation meets opportunity. Life outside purpose is lived in absolute chaos.
#Ways to find your purpose in life:
1. The Word of God.
2. Prayer.
3. Passion.
4. Vision.
TODAY’S MESSAGE
>The Power of Commitment:
*If we must grow and sustain the experience of growth, commitment is a requirement that has no alternatives.
*To achieve anything sustainable in life; to build long and lasting relationships, a great marriage, an enviable career, and reach our set goals, we must be committed.
*I have met people who are experts in evading responsibility.
*Lack of commitment is one of the reasons why many have nothing to show for their years of labour.
*“Most people fail not because of a lack of desire but because of a lack of commitment.” Vince Lombardi.
*Commitment begins from the heart and then manifests in our actions and approach to life.
*In the pursuit of vision, especially within an organizational framework, there are those who are always present physically, but absent in the heart.
*“There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.” Kenneth Blanchard.
*The reason why commitment is so important is that every sustainable accomplishment in life takes time, in the process of which we are greeted with the various oppositions and harsh resistances of life.
*The implication is that, to persist in the presence of such conditions will require a dogged spirit that looks beyond circumstances to desired goals.
*“When confronted with a challenge, the committed heart will search for a solution. The undecided heart searches for an escape.” Andy Andrews.
*Those who succeed are those who are willing to give life all it takes; they are willing to stay on their course no matter what life or people throw at them.
To be continued…
PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to stay on my course and fulfill my purpose in life, in the name of Jesus.
