Unveiling The Mystery of Self-Discovery (Part One)

THE HOPE ARMY – GIANTS ASSEMBLY (SUNDAY 3RD MAY, 2020)

#Today’s Message: Unveiling The Mystery of Self-Discovery (Part One).

#Reading: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” -Proverbs 22:29.

#INTRODUCTION
Purpose is the underlying mystery behind creation. You have heard it said that when the purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable. Abuse can be for things and it can be for people.

And so when you see someone who misbehave, someone who is unstable, someone who doesn’t seem to bother about the consequences of their actions, then you have seen someone who is yet to find their path in life.

One of the two main reasons why I am highly disciplined with my life is purpose, the other is the fear of God. I have maintained self-constraint to the point that even some of my acquaintances (good people) felt I went too far.

Once in a while I appear as a fool to many people; they may not see the big deal doing some things; but that’s not me, I know exactly what’s at stake. So one of the things purpose does to your life is that it organises your life.

Mark Twain was quoted as saying that, “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.” Every individual has a purpose in life. Your purpose is older than you. God made you because your purpose needed an executor.

And until that purpose is discovered, fulfilment is not in view. Inside you lies everything you need to fulfill your purpose in life. And so it’s a great mistake when people don’t like themselves; “Oh! I’m too fat. I’m too slim. I’m too short. I wish I had bigger burst.” Etc…

Wait minute! Don’t you know Nicholas James Vujicic? He is an Australian Christian Evangelist and motivational speaker born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of arms and legs. He’s one of the greatest Inspirations of this age.

Millions of people like him would rather just beg on the streets. The difference again is purpose. Please don’t tell me that he had his opportunities or his environment supported him. Well, I’ve not read about that, but one thing I know is this:

We all have opportunities starring at us everyday. The difference is preparation. Because success is only unveiled when preparation meets opportunity. Life outside purpose is lived in absolute chaos.

There are different ways to find your purpose in life:

1. The Word of God: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2Cor. 3:18.

2. Prayer: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” -Jer. 33:3.

3. Passion: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” -Pro. 22:29.
Passion in most cases are pointers to the problems you were created to solve.

4. Vision: “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” -Hab. 2:1-3.

Holy on a second!

The issue with many isn’t lack of purpose, but lack of focus. If some people will overcome inconsistency in their lives, then in no time, they’ll naturally fall on the right path.

As one privileged to lead in various capacities, I have come to realize that the main challenge many people have is lack of focus. That is why I once said: “If you find God, find purpose, and stay focused, then you can become anything in life.”

Hear this:

You will not be remembered for the things that went into you in your lifetime, but for those little things that came out of you. The meaning to life is to find your gift, and the purpose of life is to give it away.
To be continued…

PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to remain committed to the Teaching Series for the month of May with undeniable proofs and testimonies to show, in the name of Jesus.
