The Purpose of Pentecost (Part One)

THE HOPE ARMY – GIANTS ASSEMBLY (SUNDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER, 2019)

TEACHING SERIES: The Purpose of Pentecost (Part One).

READING: Acts 1:8.

INTRODUCTION:

*Christianity is a religion of power (Luke 10:19).

*Anything less of power is not Christianity (Acts 19:11-17).

*The last days are the days of the manifestation of the mighty power of God on the earth (Joel 2:28-30).

*There is absolutely no place for a powerless Christian in the latter days (Rev. 3:16).

*The reason why things are not happening as expected in your life can be largely attributed to lack of power (Rom. 8:19).

*The summary of Jesus’ assignment on earth is to empower the saints (Luke 24:49).

*A life of obscurity isn’t God’s agenda for mankind (3John 1:2, Jer. 29:11).

*The ultimate essence of creation is the dominion of the saints (Gen. 1:26-28).

*And so a person that is not dominating is not fulfilling this divine mandate.

*Power is what makes the difference, not grammar (1Cor. 2:1-4).

To be continued.

PRAYER: Father, endue me with power, in the name of Jesus.

-Evangelist ML Babalola.
