TEACHING SERIES: The Power of Prayer (Part Three)
READING: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” -Jeremiah 33:3.
EXCERPTS FROM PREVIOUS GIANTS ASSEMBLY (14.11.2021):
*The Lord said to me that prayer is to the spirit what food is to the body; prayer is the food of the spirit.
*The way it is not possible for the physical body to survive three months without food is the same way it is not possible for the spirit to survive for three months without prayer.
*Physical malnourishment results from lack of adequate food (balanced diet), while spiritual malnourishment results from an epileptic prayer life.
*Spiritual death on the other hand is a function of zero prayer over a period of time.
TODAY’S MESSAGE:
*Prayer is not a ritual but a natural offshoot of our relationship with the Father.
*Ritual servitude (according to English Dictionary) is the practice of holding human beings in slavery for religious purposes.
*Christianity is not a secret cult, but a commonwealth of the redeemed reconciling the world to Christ (2Cor. 5:18-21).
*And so prayer cannot be made out of necessity but as a lifestyle; a culture.
*This means that for prayer to be effective and achieve its God-ordained purpose, the child of God must first be transformed.
*You can’t be a prayer warrior and hate your neighbor at the same time (Matt. 5:23-24).
*In this Kingdom, we don’t only do good to those who are good to us, we do good to everyone (Matt. 5:44-48).
*We are the image makers of the Kingdom; all our actions count!
*We don’t pay people in their own coin here, that is the character of the world.
*You don’t only send birthday wishes on Facebook to those who wished you happy birthday last month.
*Our actions are not to be determined by theirs; our actions are determined by who we are.
*Who exactly are you?
